Minda earned her Master’s Degree in Gerontology from Keele University in the United Kingdom in 1999. She earned a Bachelor’s of Applied Science (Kinesiology) and a Certificate of Health and Fitness Studies from Simon Fraser University in 1997. Upon completion of her Master’s Degree in Gerontology, Minda worked as a research associate in the UK and Canada. The focus of her research was on caregiving, juggling work and caregiving, and the health of youth in BC. After working in research, Minda worked as a Kinesiologist providing work specific rehabilitation programs, gradual returns to work, job demands analyses, functional assessments, active rehabilitation, and ergonomic assessments. She has experience providing case management services, functional capacity evaluations, and cost of future care planning to individuals with mental health diagnoses, multiple orthopedic injuries, spinal cord injuries and soft tissue injuries.
When she’s not working, you can find Minda outdoors exploring all of BC’s unique and interesting towns, beaches and trails. Minda is on the Executive Committee for the Canadian Kinesiology Alliance.
