Mackenzie completed her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology in 2018 from The University of Victoria and her Master of Occupational Therapy in 2020 from the University of British Columbia. She has gained many valuable skills working with a variety of people in practice settings such as private pediatric, home and community care, general medicine, concussion services as well as neurological rehabilitation.

Mackenzie has completed research focused on the experiences of caregivers of children with severe neurological impairments (SNI) seeking to understand functional changes that may have occurred surrounding major and minor surgical interventions.

In her spare time, you may find Mackenzie hiking with her dog Rose, working on various craft projects, or perusing thrift stores to find some good treasures.
