Linda Magyari
M.Ed, Counselling Psychology
Registered Clinical Counsellor
Linda believes that each individual has the resiliency to overcome life’s greatest challenges and would like to support clients to improve their mental wellness and live a fulfilling life. As someone who has been injured and transitioned back to work, she saw the meaningful impact of counselling in her own life and would like to provide the same compassionate care to those seeking support.
Linda has worked in various counselling roles to support people with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and career concerns. She began her career volunteering at the Fraser Health Crisis Line for three years, supporting distressed callers in crisis. Linda completed her Master of Education in Counselling Psychology in 2022. Once she graduated, she began working as an Employment Counsellor, where she supported individuals with their career development and managing injuries or disabilities that impacted their ability to work. She has also supported young adults who experience mild to moderate anxiety as a Group Facilitator for the Y Mind program. In her current role, Linda applies her clinical skills to identifying the psychosocial factors that impact an individuals’ return to work, supporting clients to develop skills to reduce their anxiety and depressive symptoms, and helping them successfully make a graduated return to work. Linda works from a person-centred, trauma-informed practice with techniques from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Outside of work, Linda is an avid reader and enjoys baking cookies, practicing yoga, and hiking with her friends.
