Gelareh commenced her studies in the Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of the Fraser Valley, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Kinesiology. After working as a certified personal trainer and registered kinesiologist, Gelareh went on to pursue occupational therapy at the University of British Columbia and graduated with a Master of Occupational Therapy in 2017. She has also completed the functional capacity evaluation certification program and a best practice pain management course.

Gelareh has experience working with clients with chronic pain, orthopaedic injuries, neurological conditions, brain injuries, and mental health disorders. Further, she has been providing occupational therapy services for private insurers, lawyers, and private/public employers since 2017. She is proficient in case management, hospital discharge, home assessments and recommendations/ modifications, ergonomic assessments, and cognitive assessment and rehabilitation.

Gelareh’s interests outside of work include weight lifting, soccer, kickboxing and hiking. She also actively pursues nutrition and mindfulness, which assist and influence her professionally.
