Janine Di Marco

Janine completed her Bachelor of Arts in Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University before completing her Master of Occupational Therapy at the University of British Columbia. During her training, Janine gained diverse clinical experience across driver rehabilitation, palliative care, early intervention pediatrics, community rehabilitation, and youth mental health. Her capstone project, developed in collaboration with the UBC Centre for Brain Health, focused on implementing a driver education program for those living with Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson's Disease. Following graduation, Janine worked in Acute Medicine, Orthopedics, and Trauma at Vancouver General Hospital, and Inpatient Neurological Rehabilitation at GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre. These experiences honed her clinical skills in assessment and intervention for individuals navigating complex physical, cognitive, and emotional barriers to recovery.

Janine brings additional training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Chronic Pain to her practice at Re:Function, where she focuses on community-based rehabilitation and return-to-work programming. She takes a collaborative, goal-focused, and strength-based approach, supporting clients to reengage with the meaningful activities that matter most to them.

Outside of work, Janine can be found curating the perfect Spotify playlist for every mood, slowly but surely levelling up her golf game from pitch and putt to the full 18 holes, and satisfying her love of travel and exploration.
