Chandra Jade B.A. Psyc., M.Ed. Counselling Psyc.

Registered Clinical Counsellor (R.C.C.)

Having completed both undergraduate and graduate level coursework focused on Career Counselling, Chandra is particularly interested in supporting clients who are experiencing barriers to finding, maintaining or returning to meaningful employment due to mental and/or physical health concerns (including serious injuries, chronic pain, mental health diagnoses, addictions, or disabilities).  Also working part-time as a Career Advisor with students and alumni at the University of British Columbia and as a Mental Health and Addictions Support Worker with RainCity Housing and Support Society in the Downtown Eastside, Chandra brings a wealth of experience in supporting diverse adults from many different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, who identify with a variety of sexual orientations and gender identities, to achieve their career and life goals.

Chandra practices from a relational, client-centered and strength-based perspective that is trauma-informed and incorporates a variety of emotion-focused, cognitive-behavioural, sensorimotor, mindfulness and Gestalt interventions (as is indicated). Chandra always strives to create a safe and welcoming space for exploration and a strong therapeutic alliance with each client.

When she’s not working, Chandra loves to be active, playing soccer, riding her bike, going to the gym, doing yoga or going for a hike.  She also reads voraciously (especially autobiographies) and loves to watch movies with social justice themes.
